After the brutality of the Faldo exhibition round, the evening initially began with surprisingly civilised scenes. Players gathered to watch the European final in relatively chilled fashion, drinks were flowing steadily, and for a brief moment it appeared the tour may actually hold itself together.
Then the coffee tequilas arrived.
And everything completely unravelled.
NICK GUMM STEALS THE NIGHT
Nobody — absolutely nobody — expected the evening’s breakout entertainment act to be Nick Gumm.
Yet somehow, after several drinks and what can only be described as misplaced confidence, Nick delivered a karaoke performance that stunned the watching crowd.
By the second song, people had stopped laughing and actually started gathering round properly.
Witnesses described it as:
“Confusingly competent.”
Nick rolled through performances of “Losing My Religion” and “America”, showing surprising commitment, emotional range and absolutely zero concern for vocal restraint.
Importantly, none of the songs referenced his sleeping abilities, despite this becoming one of the tour’s strongest recurring themes.
Unfortunately, the evening eventually caught up with him.
Shortly after the karaoke heroics, Nick was later discovered having a nap next to a plant pot in the street, having also managed to leave his sunglasses behind somewhere during the evening’s decline into chaos.

With the overall contest finely balanced, captains unveiled the decisive singles matchups for the final day.

Glyn has impressed massively throughout his debut tour appearance and now faces Simon Harris, whose week has largely consisted of missed putts, Baby Guinnesses and emotional recovery sessions.
